"Nation-Deputy" meetings organized by Saadet Party continue.
Gaziantep was the new stop for Saadet Party MPs who traveled every inch of Turkey.
Saadet Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Karaman visited Gaziantep within the scope of the "Nation-Deputy Meetings".
Mehmet Karaman, who came together with Saadet Party organizations and citizens in Gaziantep, also met with members of the press.
Speaking at a meeting held in a hotel, Mehmet Karaman made important evaluations regarding the Turkish agenda.
“WE DO NOT HAVE THE LUXURY OF SAYING NO TO EVERY OFFER”
In his statements to the press, Saadet Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Karaman stated that they will support the ruling party if they do good work.
"We do not have the luxury of blindly saying no to every proposal brought by the ruling party. Because we work for the nation. Our President touched on three important issues while returning from America yesterday: 'To protect the family is to protect the homeland.' This is where we say that the family is a small state. If you destroy the family, the state disappears. We support this situation. We will make the pension regulation as we enter 2024. But this is a little late. Today, there are 16 million retirees in Turkey. The rate of 7,500 areas is 70 percent. While there are so many retirees in Turkey, this cannot be postponed until 2024," he said.
"TENSION INCREASED IN THE COUNTRY AFTER THE ELECTION"
Karaman, evaluating the raise rates made after the election, said, "They said before the election that national income would increase. After the election, tension increased in the country. Tenants are fighting with the landlord. Just as there is a need to increase prices according to inflation in workplaces, if they pass such a law in homes and do not set the 25 percent limit, no one will object or fight with each other. They said they would give raises to civil servants and workers, but they increased taxes before they even announced and paid the raises."
"THE PRESIDENT SHOULD NOT BE A PARTY MEMBER"
Underlining that the ruling and opposition parties have to sit at the same table, Karaman said, "We will all talk to each other. We will not blame each other. The president came with 52 percent of the votes, but he is the president with 100 percent of the votes. He needs to treat us all equally. He cannot maintain this impartiality because he is the chairman of a political party. You go to a province, the governor is the representative of the president, the AKP provincial chairman is the representative of the president, there is a confusion of authority there. Such a thing cannot happen. We have said from the beginning that the president should not be a party member and we will continue to say so."
