Saadet Party Konya Deputy and Head of Youth Branch Abdulkadir Karaduman brought to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) the allegation that the 750 million dollars loan given to Demirören Holding by Ziraat Bank, which has been at the center of the discussions in recent days, did not taken back.
Karaduman, who submitted a question to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the request of the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Lütfi Elvan to answer, asked why the farmers sold their fields to pay their debts, but the company in question did not pay its debt.
“FARMERS SELL THEIR FIELDS TO PAY THE DEBTS”
Karaduman said that farmers who could not pay their debts put their fields and gardens up for sale by Ziraat Bank, which was established to support agriculture and animal husbandry in Turkey.
"On the bank's website, a total of 1940 real estates were put up for sale, of which 890 were fields, vineyards, orchards, and 120 were plots. In addition, it is alleged that Ziraat Bank, which has a mission to support the agricultural sector and farmers, did not taken back the 750 million dollars loan it gave to Demirören Holding in order to purchase media outlets," he said.
“WHY IS 750 MILLION DOLLARS NOT TAKEN BACK?”
Karaduman asked 4 questions to the Minister of Treasury and Finance Elvan to answer:
"While the production areas belonging to the farmer were put up for sale by Ziraat Bank, why was the 750 million dollars given to Demirören Holding not taken back?
If this loan has been taken, how much has been taken?
Can you share the documents showing that this collection was made?
If Demirören Holding has not made any repayments, have enforcement and follow-up procedures been initiated?"
