Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Abdulkadir Karaduman asked the number of health personnel who resigned during the pandemic process in the written question he gave to Health Minister Fahrettin Koca. Karaduman stated in the questionnaire that the burden of health personnel has increased since the first day of the Covid-19 case.
"In this process, although various arrangements have been made by your Ministry to alleviate the burden of healthcare professionals, we see that these are insufficient. As a matter of fact, there has been a significant increase in the number of health workers who resigned from their duties in the last year," Karaduman said.
“HEALTHCARE WORKERS HAVE NO WAY OTHER THAN RESIGNING”
Karaduman noted that health workers who are exposed to violence and mobbing in addition to their workload have no other way but to resign.
"Practices such as the pressure of hospital administrations on employees, the necessity of vaccination and PCR tests, irregular and busy working hours, and arbitrary assignments are the main reasons for resignations," he added.
“WHAT IS THE RESIGNATION RATE?”
Karaduman's proposal included the following questions:
"What is the number of health workers who resigned from their duties in Turkey since March 11, 2020? What is the number of doctors, nurses, caregivers and cleaning staff among the health workers who resigned from their duties? What is the number of health workers who resigned due to the necessity of vaccination from the date of vaccination to date? What studies does your ministry plan to carry out in the upcoming period in order to reduce the pressure on health workers?"
