Saadet Party Hatay Deputy Necmettin Çalışkan pointed out that there is a large refugee problem in Hatay, which has a demographic structure and strategic importance, and brought the issue to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Çalışkan, who submitted a question to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the request of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, emphasized that a special study should be carried out on Hatay after the earthquake.
“SOLUTIONS MUST BE PRODUCED FOR THE RETURN OF OUR CITIZENS”
Stating that it is very important for the relevant ministries and institutions, especially the Ministry of Interior, to carry out studies to ensure that our citizens who left the province return to Hatay, which has strategic importance, Çalışkan said, "In Hatay, which is a border province, the danger of deterioration of the demographic structure is a highly sensitive issue that needs to be taken care of. It is very important for our citizens who have moved to other provinces to return. All kinds of studies and planning should be done for this."
"SPECIAL SENSITIVITY SHOULD BE GIVEN TO STRATEGIC REGIONS"
Caliskan asked the following questions to the Minister of Interior Yerlikaya:
"How many citizens moved from the earthquake zone to other provinces according to the population registration data? Are there any studies and plans for our citizens who have moved to other provinces to return to Hatay? In this context, what is the anticipated time for return? How many refugees sheltering in the earthquake area migrated to other provinces? Containers, etc., in places where these refugees will return. Are accommodation facilities arranged? Or will they be placed in tents?"
