Saadet Party Deputy Assoc. Dr. Necmettin Çalışkan drew attention to Israel's attacks in his speech at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Stating that Israel is committing atrocities unprecedented in history, he said, "It's as if everyone is waiting for their turn."
ISRAEL'S EXPANSION CLAIMS AND THREATS
Çalışkan said that the State of Israel claims the lands between the Nile and Euphrates rivers as its own territory.
"Let us know that the State of Israel claims that the area between the Nile and Euphrates is its territory, as shown on its map. In this respect, we are faced with the fact that the fire has spread to Lebanon," Çalışkan said.
Çalışkan also stated that, as stated by the ministers, they are in a period where a new world war is being discussed.
WILL ACTION BE TAKEN AFTER HATAY IS GONE?
Çalışkan emphasized that the protests were insufficient and that the government should take more concrete steps.
"Almost all of our friends in the government expressed their sadness about this issue, we thank them, but the fire does not stay put anymore; 40 thousand people died, 1 million people are facing the hunger line. That's why this issue is not an issue that can be dismissed with protests. Will action be taken against the murderers who say, "From the Nile to the Euphrates, 'the world' is our target" after Hatay is lost? Will it be understood and intervened after the fire spreads to Gaziantep and Diyarbakır?" Çalışkan asked.
ÇALIŞKAN INVITED GOVERNMENT TO TAKE SERIOUS STEPS
Çalışkan said that Turkey should take concrete steps against Israel and listed the following suggestions;
"Apply Law No. 5901. Take action to implement United Nations Security Council resolutions. Its relations with Israel are final. Take action against Turkish citizens fighting in the Israeli army. Introduce the bill to strip those who fight in the Israeli army of citizenship. For more than eight months, no useful steps have been taken other than protesting, talking and denouncement. I invite the government to be sincere and take serious steps."
