It is stated that the words of Ümit Özlale, who spoke on behalf of the Good Party at the podium, despite not being included in the Common Policies Memorandum announced to the public by the Nation’s Alliance yesterday, regarding the Istanbul Convention, were made in his own name. In his assessment, Deputy Chairman of the Saadet Party, Lawyer Bülent Kaya, said that Özlale's sentence was formed on his own behalf, and that it did not reflect the common decision of the alliance. Kaya said, “The texts agreed by the six parties are written texts. The views expressed by any party member by going out of the text only bind him. Therefore, as the Saadet Party, our approach on this issue is texts of agreement. Those words are the personal opinion of Mr. Ümit.”

SAADET OBJECTED AND IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TEXT

Despite the great objections of the Saadet Party, it was stated that the Istanbul Convention would not be included in the joint agreement text. Although there is no sentence related to the contract in question in the text explained, the use of this expression aroused discomfort.
