Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Kaya, together with Saadet Party General Administrative Board Member (GİK) Assoc. Dr. Necmettin Çalışkan, Saadet Party İskenderun District President Halil İbrahim Çelik and many other party members, visited Hak-İş and Özçelik-İş labour unions.

During the visit, the problems related to the workers were discussed and ideas were exchanged.

WORKERS ARE CRUSHED UNDER HEAVY TAX OBLIGATION

Speaking at the reception of the Saadet delegation, Hak-İş Hatay Provincial President and Özçelik-İş İskenderun Branch President Mehmet Güngör stated that the employees were crushed under heavy tax liability and that they wanted tax rates to be fixed.

"The biggest problem is that the workers are crushed under heavy tax liability. With the salary we receive in January, our salary in December decreases by 17 percent. In this context, the contracts we make do not come to mind at all. Our biggest demand is that we want the tax rates of the workers, especially the minimum, to be fixed. We want to never compromise on the vested rights related to severance pay. These are our future," he said.

WORKERS' REQUESTS ARE IN PLACE AND TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE

Mustafa Kaya, Deputy Chairman of Saadet Party, said in a statement during the visit:

"The society began to understand more clearly what the sweat of the brow corresponds to. The demands of Özçelik-İş Union are in place and to the extent possible. When microphones are offered to us on various platforms, we try to express these problems and requests. When I look at the demands, it is necessary that everyone stands behind them and that the sweat of this worker should be evaluated as the items that society needs, without subjecting them to any different perspectives. It is a fact that we all know that the salaries received in January-December depreciate by up to 20 percent. There is a government that sets out from behind with the uncertainty of prices experienced in every collective bargaining period."

The visit ended with the souvenir photos taken after the statements.
