That's how it works in the state! You give the animal purchase which is worth millions to a firm without announce a tender and after, there is nothing! The public has suffered damage; the farmer has been aggrieving, nobody cares! There is neither called somebody to account for it nor querier! In short, whatever you do when you have the power gets away with!

We haven’t written anything about the young farmer’s project for a while. We are following and wondering if the authorities will do something about the serious scandals that has emerged but futile! The apparent corruptions we have reveal off to one side, new scandals are also continuing!

In the period of the former General Manager Ismail Sanlı of TIGEM (Directorate General of Agricultural Enterprises) also known as ‘District Governor General Manager’ and former Deputy Director General Uzeyir Tekin, while the major corruption investigation about one of the firms who got the most animal purchase without tender that is started by constabulary continued, the other firm couldn’t deliver the animals to the farmers during the contract period.

In other words, while one of these firms swindles the producer and the state over projects, it is revealed that the other firm has no sufficiency for these works.

Now, should we say; “It’s possible. What can they do? They gave work to the firm but the firm acted improperly to the contract” and drop the subject?

Or should we call them to account for damaging one of the most rooted constitutions of Turkey like TİGEM, for making a project shady which has been started in good faith by the government and most importantly for aggrieving the farmer by asking them questions like ‘how they determine these firms’, ‘what their criterions were’, ‘didn’t they make any research about these firms’.

Those who are conscientious, who love their country, homeland, nation will of course say that the second should be happen.

But I said, we are all patriots but nobody sees the public loss and farmer grievance that happen under our nose.

Let me explain the gravity of the situation in this way:

The young farmer's project, which was implemented for 3 years, ended on December 31st. I don't know if a new decision will be taken or not, but the young farm project is now over. However, 27 thousand animals that should be given to the farmers last year are still not given to their right owners. Although an agreement was made with Turkey Breeding Sheep and Goat Breeders Central Union in the past months to give the animals that couldn’t be given by the firm which couldn’t fulfill the conditions of the contract, due to the increase of prices, this hasn’t been also a solution.

Now TIGEM appeared in the tender advertisement of the Official Gazette. The tender will be held in two groups for 27 thousand small cattle. And in the tender, the price per animal will not be under one thousand lira. Okay, what was the average animal purchase price of the tender, which was made in April last year but has been dubiously canceled by the general manager at the time? 750 liras.

I need here to remind you this note. As it’s known, a tender was made about the purchase of these animals, but this tender was canceled without any justification, and it was given to the firm which couldn’t deliver the animals by the direct purchase method at a higher price.

As it will be seen, there will be at least 250 liras differences per animal between the tender that was canceled last year and the tender that will be done this year. If you multiply 250 liras with 27 thousand animals, at least 6.7 million liras more will be get out of the case of TİGEM.

In other words, if the animal purchase wasn’t canceled by the former general manager and was given to ones who won the tender properly instead of giving it to a firm without sufficiency, both the firmer wouldn’t be aggrieved and they would already get their animals, and TIGEM wouldn’t suffer loss.

Now, in order for the public conscience to be relieved, the authorities must at least take steps to compensate this damage.
