Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) Chairman Salih Turhan stated that as AGD, they stand by the people of the region.
In his statement regarding the flood disaster, Salih Turhan, President of the Anatolian Youth Association, called for an emergency action plan, and said that AGD, as all its organizations, stands by the people of the region.
Turhan said in a statement on the subject on social media, "I convey my best wishes to all our brothers and sisters who were adversely affected by the floods, and I wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives in the floods. In order to heal the wounds as soon as possible, I would like to state that we, as all members of Anatolian Youth from 81 provinces, stand by the people of the region, and we hope that the wounds of our people will be healed as soon as possible."
EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN MUST BE CREATED FOR THE REGION
Drawing attention to the construction in the stream beds, Turhan said, "While experts draw attention to the fact that there are many reasons for flood disasters that occur frequently in the Black Sea, such as intensive construction in the stream beds, Hydroelectric power plants, debris and stone quarries being cut, it is urgent to prepare and implement emergency action plans for the entire region."
Turhan also stated that those who give construction permits to the stream beds should be held accountable before the law, "While underlining once again that the authorities should undertake projects that will ensure the welfare of the people of the region, taking into account the warnings, we remind that those who allow construction in the stream bed are responsible for the issue and that the necessary sanctions should be fulfilled before the law," he added.
