An action was held in Istanbul against the execution decisions of the putschist Sisi administration against the Brotherhood members in Egypt.
In the action organized by the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) Istanbul Branch in front of the Egyptian Consulate, the death sentences of 12 people, including Ikhwan leaders Mohamad Badii, Safwat Hicazi and Mohamad Beltagy, were protested.
In the action, which was carried out to condemn the unjust and unlawful death sentences, the image of Rabia from the sea and the photographs of the members of the Muslim Brotherhood on trial were projected onto the Egyptian Consulate building.
The protest, which started with the recitation of the Qur'an, ended with the prayer for the oppressed in Egypt with the press statements.
“91 OF OUR BROTHERS HAVE BEEN EXECUTED”
Making a press statement at the action held in front of the Egyptian Consulate, AGD Istanbul Branch President Yunus Genç said, "Trials in Egypt are carried out by military courts, not by civilian courts. Decisions made here are not fair decisions. Until this time, hundreds of people were sentenced to death and 91 of our brothers, including university students, were executed. Most of those sentenced to death are members of the Muslim Brotherhood, which supports Morsi. The putschist Sisi does not want anyone to oppose him. He has made Egypt an open prison for anyone who opposes him, and will continue to do so."
“THE COUPS HAVE TURNED THE PEOPLE OF THE REGION AGAINST EACH OTHER”
Yunus Genç stated that racist imperialism is behind the troubles in Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen and many Islamic countries.
"Racist imperialism is the structure that classifies the region with ethnic and sectarian denominations in almost all international news agencies, and uses ethnic structure when it comes to its use, and sectarian differences when it suits it. In order to prevent the people of the region from displaying a common attitude against imperialism, they have always fueled racism and sectarianism, and set the people of the region against each other with provocative events and coups. Today, the same is practiced by the Zionist and imperialist structure in many countries, especially in Egypt," he added.
“WE ARE UMMAH AND WE ARE ONE”
Speaking on behalf of the Brotherhood in the action, Amr Adel stated that the Egyptian people have been living under persecution for more than 80 years.
"Today, not only 12 Muslims are executed in Egypt, but 100 people are executed. At the moment, the leaders of the Islamic cause in Egypt are imprisoned in dungeons. We are calling out to the whole world from here, that the persecution and executions in Egypt must end as soon as possible. The cruel junta in Egypt unfortunately overthrew the Brotherhood. We ask the whole Islamic world and Turkey to pray for us. We are the nation and we are one. There is persecution in Egypt right now and our brothers need to help Egypt," Adel said.
