IT WAS OUT OF SCOPE AFTER CABINET
Research assistants and artists were not included in the statements regarding the transition of contracted employees to the staff, announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan after the cabinet meeting. However, in the statement made by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Bilgin, it was stated that the scope of the regulation was expanded, “We are solving the problems of long years and recruiting contracted employees. MANDATORY PENSION IS MADE "OPTIONAL"
Nearly one million workers recruited in 2018 are worried about mandatory retirement. In his statement, Minister Bilgin announced that they will change the part about compulsory retirement. Referring to the reservations of employees regarding compulsory retirement, Bilgin stated that with the regulation to be made, the mandatory retirement requirement will be abolished and they can continue to work voluntarily as long as they can work within the legal limit.
