Security investigation law will be discussed

This week, the parliament will hold discussions on the law proposal that re-regulates the provisions of the security investigation and archive search for those who will be appointed to public office.

The General Assembly will meet on Tuesday, March 23rd, to consider the Proposal for the Law on Security Investigation and Archive Research. The regulation reorganizes the provisions of security investigation and archive research to be carried out for those who will be appointed for the first time or again to public service and duties.
 

ARCHIVE RESEARCH WILL BE DONE

 
According to the proposal, an Evaluation Commission will be established where personal data obtained as a result of security investigation or archive research are evaluated in terms of assignment to the task. Security investigation and archive research will be conducted on top-level public administrators, individuals who are subjected to security investigation and archive research in accordance with special laws, and those employed in units, projects, facilities and services that have strategic importance in terms of national security.
 

WILL NOT BE HELD DUE TO THE CONGRESS

 
The spouse of the person and his first-degree blood and affinity relatives will also be included in the security investigation in terms of the effect on the qualifications required by the task. The National Intelligence Agency, the General Directorate of Security and the local administrative authorities will carry out a security investigation and archive research. Meanwhile, weekly group meetings of political parties will be held. The AK Party's Parliamentary Group Meeting will not be held due to the 7th Ordinary Grand Congress to be held on Wednesday, March 24.
 

RACISM AND ISLAMOPHOBI WILL BE CONSIDERED

 
The Law Proposal Amending the Law on Licensed Surveying Cadastre Engineers and Offices will be discussed at the Public Works, Reconstruction, Transportation and Tourism Commission on Tuesday, March 23.
 
The chairman of the commission will be elected at the meeting on Thursday, March 25, of the Sub-Commission for Investigating and Researching Rising Racism and Islamophobia in Europe, established within the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission. Later, the commission will include a presentation titled "Rising Racism and Islamophobia in European Countries: General View" by Enes Bayraklı, Faculty Member of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the Turkish-German University.
