The health sector workers union "Sağlık-Sen" Chairman Semih Durmuş called for contracted employees to be recruited without discrimination, and stated that contracted employment in the public sector should be terminated.
The union's Chairman Semih Durmuş, who made statements about the process of recruiting contracted employees in the public sector, noted that the first meeting was held recently regarding the recruitment of contracted personnel in the public sector, and noted that they demanded that all contracted employees be recruited as in 2011 and 2013.
Stating that the current contracted and permanent employment type is damaging the working peace in the public sector, Durmuş stated that the solution to this problem is in the staff.
"The types of contracts that harm labor peace and have very different economic, personal and social rights should be terminated. Contracted employment types that cause chaos in the public sector and cause unending unrest among the employees are not suitable for today's Turkey and bring many problems with it," he said.

Emphasizing that their main demand as "Memur-Sen" and "Sağlık-Sen" is the termination of contracted work, Durmuş stated that they also expressed their problems in the first meeting.
"Our request; the appointment of all contracted personnel to the staff and the termination of different types of employment in accordance with the understanding of "public service is given by civil servants". In the meeting we held with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, we re-expressed these demands and presented our relevant study. On behalf of our contracted employees, our expectation as 'Memur-Sen' and 'Sağlık-Sen' is; is that the regulation that will ensure labor peace enters into force as soon as possible and that the regulation covers all contracted persons," he added.
