Another reaction to the annual inflation figures announced by TURKSTAT came from Saadet Party.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Saadet Party İzmir Provincial Presidency, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç drew attention to the manipulation on inflation figures.
Stating that the price increase in basic consumption products is around 133 percent and the official inflation rate announced by TÜİK as 64.27 percent does not reflect the truth, Şerafettin Kılıç explained the price increases by exhibiting the basic consumption items one by one.
Kılıç, showing the labels showing how much all the products used by a house have increased during the year, revealed the extent of inflation.
“IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO EXPLAIN WITH LOGIC AND PERMISSION”
Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç, who exhibited the essential consumer items that must be used one by one in the press release.
"You can see the actual price increases on the labels on these products. The government, on the other hand, is looking for an address that will take the responsibility of the economic trend and the continuous decrease in the purchasing power of the people, while inflation is at such high levels. Are we surprised? Of course not! When the cost of living reached an undeniable point and became the number one agenda of the citizens, this time they tried to invent 'scapegoats' and put the blame on them. We saw the first example of this situation in the tents set up for potato-onion a few years ago. Today, he has again invented a scapegoat to escape the responsibility of cost-of-living misery. Traitor and profiteering chain markets. However, of course, it is not possible to explain these theories with reason, logic and understanding," he said.
“AVERAGE PRICE INCREASE IS APPROXIMATELY 130 PERCENT”
Saadet Partili Kılıç, who revealed the price increases in compulsory goods and services, especially in foodstuffs, said following words:
"Sugar 213 percent, olives 150 percent, feta cheese 189 percent, tea 111 percent, rice 154 percent, pasta 124 percent, detergent 94 percent, toilet paper 109 percent, beef 111 percent, butter 111 percent, tomato paste 324 percent, bulgur 146 percent , onion 307 percent, chickpea 167 percent, milk 100 percent, dry beans 155 percent, tomato 100 percent, yogurt 88 percent, coal 160 percent, electricity 90 percent, natural gas 157 percent, bread 100 percent. According to this study, the average price increase in basic consumer products is around 130 percent," he added.
“AS THE SAADET PARTY, WE ARE DETERMINED TO BRING TURKEY OUT OF THIS ABYSS”
"The wrong economic policies implemented during the AK Party rule impoverished a large part of the people at a terrible rate and at a terrible rate. With a mindset that does not see itself in any way responsible for the painful picture caused by poor economic management, neither inflation can be fought nor the economy managed. An inflation monster that gnaws not only tables but also lives. And in front of us is a desperate, exhausted administration trying to cover up the facts. But we, as the Felicity Party, are determined to get Turkey out of this abyss. We aspire to correct this picture and put an end to the economic destruction with more effective measures and structural arrangements in the fight against inflation," Kılıç stated.
“CONTRACTING ECONOMIC FACTS”
Pointing out that the government attacked the markets on the one hand, and on the other hand increased the energy, tax and penalty items under its control by 200 to 300 percent, Kılıç said, "While the pointless and irresponsible insistence on practices contrary to economic facts carries the official inflation to 64 percent, every citizen sees personally every day that the inflation of the street is far beyond this figure. We, as Saadet Party, do this work every year and share it with the public, these days when annual inflation rates are announced. Within the scope of the definition we describe as 'family inflation', we take the basic consumer goods necessary to sustain life as the basis. We follow the price increases throughout the year. So to speak, we explain this as 'true inflation'."
