The Nation Alliance, formed by six opposition parties, held its 11th meeting hosted by the Good Party. After the meeting, where many topics were discussed, a statement was published, and important statements were made regarding the snap election and President Erdogan's candidacy debates, especially the joint presidential candidate of the opposition.

In the statement, the leaders stated that the Islamic world celebrated the Laylat al-Raghaib and expressed that they strongly condemned the ugly actions against the Qur’an in Sweden and the Netherlands.

WE ARE ALWAYS READY FOR ELECTIONS

The leaders, who also discussed the date of May 14, announced by President Erdogan after the cabinet meeting on Monday, stated that they are ready for the election date and said, “We, who are sure that our nation will give the answer 'enough' to this unlawful order in the 100th anniversary of our Republic, are ready for the election Mr. Erdoğan have planned as May 14, with the support we receive from our people, our faith in ourselves and our love for our country. We would like to point out that no matter when the elections are held, it will be won by the Nation’s Alliance that acts according to the rule of law, not the People's Alliance, which acts with the understanding of the law of the superiors. Even though the government tries to cover up the lost popular support with all kinds of unlawfulness, we will disrupt this game with the support we receive from our nation and we will make Turkey a free democratic state of law. We call it a strong challenge to change this one-man order with the will of our nation at the ballot box.”

NATION’S ALLIANCE WILL SOLVE TURKEY'S INCREASING PROBLEMS

At the meeting, where the road map to be followed regarding the headscarf regulation submitted by the People's Alliance to the Parliament was discussed, the leaders noted that they found the steps taken by the government insincere. In the statement, which stated that the Presidential Government System has become a problem of survival, “In our meeting today, we took very concrete steps to win the election and to govern it with the Strengthened Parliamentary System, which our people greatly favor. We will share the Transition Process Roadmap with the public after the final evaluation, together with the process of determining the presidential candidate,” the statement said.

In the statement, which stated that the Common Policies Consensus Text, which has been worked on for a long time, will be announced to the public on January 30, it was said that the Nation Alliance will solve Turkey's increasing problems in all areas.

CRITERIA FOR DETERMINATION OF CANDIDATE ARE ALSO ANNOUNCED

In the continuation of the statement, which continued by saying, “We would like to announce that six political parties are working in consultation, consensus and reflecting the preferences of the people in determining the presidential candidate,” the statement added. The following was noted regarding the joint presidential candidacy:

“We know that it is Turkey's choice of destiny. Our people have entrusted us with their lives, property, future, hope to breathe in a civilized, free and prosperous Turkey. May our people rest in peace, six opposition parties will complete this task duly. Who believes in the parliamentary system, besides fundamental rights and freedoms, democracy lovers’ candidate will be Turkey's 13th president. Who says 'Enough! The word belongs to the nation', the candidate of the Nation Alliance will be the Turkey's 13th president,” the statement said.
