After his speeches at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, a smear campaign was launched against Cihangir Islam who addressed AKP member's conscience.
Saadet Party deputy Cihangir Islam's speech in Parliament was distorted in the media. A number of writers working in local newspapers and news sites and around here targeted Islam from their social media accounts.
Saadet Party deputy Islam on the evening of 31 October in the Grand National Assembly said "On July 15 we watched the clash of two superstition in this country," he said. One of the two superstitions in the expressions of Islam pointed to the AKP in which the coup plotters and the other claimed that FETÖ allowed it to grow in the state. However, the AKP, one of the two superstitions in Islam's speech, was introduced as a nation with its supporters. The July 15 Society announced that it would file a criminal complaint after this smear campaign.

On the other hand, on July 15, Cihangir Islam announced that he was out of the social media accounts and invited the people to go out on the street. The messages shared by Islam on the night of July 15 are as follows:
"I've never been a member of the AK Party, but I'm going out on behalf of democracy and the rule of law. I invite every citizen to go out and back."
"We stand next to the legitimate government of democracy. We are in the crate, in the street, in the street, in the slap. We are with the law, legitimacy and democracy!"
