While the political ban on İmamoğlu was on the agenda of the country, the punishment given in the backstages of Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) caused different interpretations. Some AKP deputies consider the punishment given to İmamoğlu political and describe it as "a policy that makes you lose". MHP, on the other hand, says that the decision made was the right one.
THESE POLICIES CAUSE TO LOSE THE ELECTION
While the number of deputies in AKP backstage defending that this decision was right because the sentence given to İmamoğlu is an insult to a public servant, there are also deputies within the party who say that this decision is political and wrong. Some AKP deputies objecting to the decision point to presidential advisers regarding the decision. They say that the advisors in Beştepe were engaged in political engineering before the election, and that these policies could lead to losing the election. MHP deputies, on the other hand, argue that the decision was correct.
