Pop singer Tüzün this week shared the hash tag #herşeyçokgüzelolacak – everything is going to be great - which on Tuesday become a top trending topic in Turkey and the World.

The hash tag vent viral after the main opposition Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) İmamoğlu won March 31 mayoral polls by a narrow margin, but President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s ruling party lodged an objection alleging fraud and the Supreme Election Council (YSK) on Monday ordered a rerun of the election on June 23.

Tüzün took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that her programme had been cancelled, citing her tweet in support of İmamoğlu.

“Our TRTFm programme, part of our #olaylaragel radio pr tour on May 14 has been cancelled by authorities due to my twitter posts the other day on @ekrem_imamoglu,’’ Tüzün wrote.

The singer added the hash tag #herşeyçokgüzelolacak, once gain.

A tweet this week by Muhammet Safi, the chair of the Presidential Archive Chamber in the Office of the Turkish President, listing celebrities who have come out in support of Istanbul’s opposition mayoral candidate has drawn backlash with critics saying the move has led to the targeting of popular opposition supporters.
