While the exam was canceled after the doubt experienced in the 2022 Public Personnel Selection Exam held on July 31, the money that the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) received from the students who took the exam in recent years was astonishing.
OSYM, which increases the exam fees by almost 50 percent every year, has become the agenda with the fees it receives from the students who take the exams.
ÖSYM has collected 2 billion 131 million 866 thousand 996 liras 84 cents exam fee from candidates in the last three years, and increased the single session exam fee by more than 200 percent between 2017 and 2022.
In addition, between the same dates, the KPSS double session fee was increased by 500 percent.
While 3 million 250 thousand candidates participated in the 2022 YKS, a total of 1 billion 121 million 250 thousand liras was collected from the candidates.
285 TL EXAM FEE BEING PAID
According to the ÖSYM website, a candidate who takes all the exams of KPSS this year has to deposit 65 TL for KPSS Field Knowledge, 90 TL for Teaching Field Knowledge Test (ÖABT), 90 TL for License and 25 TL for preference.
A student who takes the exam to become a civil servant in the public sector has to deposit 195 TL for the 3 KPSS field knowledge exam and 90 TL for the license, ie 285 TL in total.
A student who takes the exam to become a teacher has to pay a total of 180 TL.
