The economic problems that started with the pandemic continue to increase exponentially… Students, who are affected by the increasing prices, are looking for ways to get out of their livelihoods.

Students who have won the university away from their family and home, first try to solve the problem of accommodation and then livelihood.

The housing problem of the students stemmed from the inadequacy of the Credit and Dormitories Agency (KYK), which led them to private dormitories and rented houses for exorbitant prices.

Students trying to solve the problem of living against the economic problems, on the other hand, turned to research the scholarships given.

After the university exam, which was held with the highest participation in history, students started to take their places on the campuses of the schools they won.

Students, on the other hand, faced both housing and livelihood problems with the opening of schools. Students who will start their university education by going to a city separate from their families, look for scholarships or jobs where they can study and work in order to make a living with the economic problems.

In the choices made after the university exam, the priority of the students was again for economic reasons. However, the costs continued to increase in the time that passed over the choices. University-winning students, on the other hand, primarily seek a solution to the housing problem in the campuses they go to.

While the exorbitant increase in house rents and dormitory fees put students in trouble, the increase in personal expenses seems to put students in even more trouble.

WAITING FOR SCHOLARSHIP AND LOAN APPLICATIONS

While students were looking for different ways to earn their living, students who did not want to receive support from their families turned to KYK scholarships and loans or scholarships to be given by associations and foundations.

Applications for KYK scholarships and loans have not started yet. Scholarship and loan fees given by KYK vary according to education level.

According to this; Undergraduate students receive 850 TL, graduate students 700 TL, and doctoral students 2 thousand 550 TL.

While there is no repayment in scholarship fees, payments start 2 years after the end of studentship in loan payments.
