Vocational high school students in Hatay brought libraries to 300 schools across the city with bookshelves, tables and chairs they made with idle materials.

Erol Bilecik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students evaluate the waste wood remaining from the materials they used in the workshop within the scope of the Ministry of National Education's "No School Without a Library" project.

25 students working in the workshop reprocess waste materials and turn them into bookshelves, tables, chairs, coffee tables and shelves.

Recycled products are sent to educational institutions in need of libraries.

"STUDENTS' FEELING OF HELP ALSO DEVELOPS"

Furniture and Interior Design Field Chief Ahmet Zeytineli said that they have been supporting the No School Without Library project since last year.

Stating that they use the waste materials in the best way in their workshops within the school, Zeytineli stated that they make bookshelves, tables, chairs and shelves for the schools determined by recycling.

Zeytineli stated that the students both learned the intricacies of the profession with the work done, and also contributed to the economy by evaluating the waste materials.

Emphasizing that the students' sense of cooperation has also improved with the No School Without a Library project, "We evaluate the waste materials that will be crushed and burned in the stove or that will go to waste and turn them into a library. As part of the No Schools Without Libraries project, we provided libraries from waste materials to 300 schools. Our students are very happy to take part in the project and contribute to the schools in need," he said.

Mehmet Ali Bayrakçı, one of the students, said that they re-evaluated the waste materials in the workshop and built a library for schools.

Yunus Emre Özalan also expressed his happiness to be involved in the project, where he learned the intricacies of the profession and contributed to the schools in need.
