Küçükçekmece Tevfikbey Neighborhood Central Mosque had a picnic with students and their families, mostly girls. Speaking at the picnic, the Imam of the Merkez Mosque, Necdet Fidan, said, "A period of time is beginning that will contribute to raising good generations and bring our children, the light of our eyes, together with the Qur'an and the exemplary life of our Prophet (pbuh). Thank God, our mosques have turned into a religious education home for our children this year, with the motto 'Mosques be full of children, let morals be the Qur'an'. They will have a deeper understanding of moral values such as honesty, compassion and mercy, love and respect, rights and justice, sharing and cooperation, brotherhood and love, which our Prophet (pbuh) showed by living and the Qur'an wants.”
Mosques are overflowing with students. The central mosque opened its doors to Qur'an students this year, as well as summer Qur'an courses. Mosque Imam Necdet Fidan said, “We organize summer Qur’an courses in all our mosques and Qur’an courses. Summer courses are very important for us. Because these courses are a great opportunity for the moral development, character formation and values education of our children, who are the guarantee of our future. It is our greatest responsibility towards children. It is to meet the principles of Islam under the guidance of the Qur'an and Sunnah, which are connected to national and spiritual values.” Expressing his satisfaction for the intense participation of the people of the neighborhood in the summer courses, "Praise be to the joy of our mosques met with our children again. They are the roses of our mosques, our students of the Qur'an. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who entrusted their children to us. I wish success to all our teachers who took part in the courses. I congratulate our children and youth who participated in these courses,” Imam added.
