Thousands of people attended the demonstration organized by pro-Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in the New York area, calling for "Everyone out for Palestine."
Demonstrators from all walks of life gathered in Times Square and gave a message of support for Palestine with flags and banners in their hands.
The demonstrators chanted the slogan "Freedom for Palestine" and held banners saying "Support for Palestine, end the occupation", "Resistance is right" and "Stop US aid to apartheid Israel".
On the other hand, a group of pro-Israel demonstrators gathered on the opposite side of the protest area with Israeli flags in their hands. There were verbal taunts between the two groups from time to time.
The people gathered in the city of Brighton in the south of England, upon the call of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign group, demonstrated their support for Palestine.

A Palestinian woman, who did not want to give her name, stated in her address to the activists gathered in the square that she was speaking on behalf of Palestinians who did not have the chance to be heard.
"My family wasn't allowed to speak for generations. Every time I come to these shows my grandma cries and says at least one of us can talk," the Palestinian woman said.
