Taoufiq Tahani, Honorary President of the French Palestine Solidarity Association (AFPS), stated that after October 7, Western states said, 'We have common values with Israel.'

Tahani said that the ongoing demonstrations of support for Palestine all over the world caused panic among Western leaders who gave "unconditional support" to Israel after October 7 and pushed them to be more cautious.

THE WEST WAS THE SAME YESTERDAY, THE SAME TODAY!

Taoufiq Tahani, Honorary President of the French Palestine Solidarity Association (AFPS), made an evaluation regarding the events in Gaza.

He explained that in August 2022, Israel carried out air strikes on Gaza under the name of a "preventive operation" without any conflict and in violation of international law, and that Western states then "asked the Palestinians not to make a noise about these attacks."

Stating that Israel killed thousands of Palestinians in 2008, 2012 and 2014 and prevented the peaceful "Great March of Return" demonstrations organized by the people of Gaza to lift the blockade in 2018, Tahani noted that Western states ignore all these events today.

“VALUES OF THE WEST; "MURDER OF CHILDREN AND CIVILIANS"

Tahani, regarding the statement of "We have common values with Israel" by Western states that made statements of support for Israel after the October 7 attacks,

"This means that the value they share is the will to murder children and civilians," Tahani added.

Reminding that many Western leaders visited Israel, Tahani underlined that with these visits, they gave Israel and the right-wing Netanyahu government "the green light to cause the most damage to the Palestinians."

"On the other hand, the ongoing demonstrations of support for Palestine all over the world caused a kind of panic among Western leaders who declared "unconditional support" for Israel," Tahani said.

Tahani commented that the demonstrations forced leaders to "be more cautious in their statements of support for Israel."
