Supreme Election Board determines Prohibitions and Rules of May 14 elections

There are only a few days left until the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections. After the meeting held by the members of the Supreme Election Board, the roadmap for the election was determined.

The prohibitions and rules regarding the propaganda period regarding the political parties that will enter the elections were published in the Official Gazette.
 
According to the resolutions, public propaganda will begin on March 31 and end on May 13.
 
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the election decision on March 10.
 
There are only a few days left for the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections to be held on 14 May.
 
The Supreme Election Board (YSK) also determined the bans and rules regarding the propaganda period regarding the political parties that will enter the elections. The determined decisions were published in the Official Gazette.
 

PROPAGANDA WILL BEGIN ON MARCH 31

 
The calendar start date of the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections to be held has been determined as 18 March.
 
It has been decided that the starting date for the first voting of the propaganda period for the election will be between 31 March and 13 May, which was determined as the finalization date of the parliamentary lists.
 
In the event that the election goes to the second round, propaganda can be made in the open field for the second round on May 15-27.
 
It was stated that the programs to be held in the open area during the election period will be in the areas to be determined by the district election boards and cannot be held outside these areas.
 
It was stated that collective verbal propaganda cannot be carried out on roads, temples, public buildings and facilities, faculties, student dormitories, campuses, and abroad and customs gates, in open places, from the end of the second hour after sunset to sunrise.
 

SENDING A VOICE OR TEXT MESSAGE IS PROHIBITED

 
It was stated that candidates can make propaganda through advertisements and advertisements or by opening a website.
 
It was noted that it is forbidden for citizens to send video, audio or text messages to their e-mail addresses, portable or fixed phones, but they can send written, audio or video messages to their members in this way.
 
It was stated that candidates are free to distribute brochures, flyers, party flags, posters, banners or audio and video broadcasts that promote themselves, and it is forbidden to distribute or distribute any gifts or giveaways other than these.
 
It was stated that it is forbidden to have the Turkish Flag and religious inscriptions on flyers and other printing presses used for propaganda, and that different languages and dialects can be used in addition to Turkish.
 

POLITICAL CAMPAIGN BROADCAST UNTIL MAY 12

 
While making decisions regarding electoral alliances, it was stated that electoral alliances can be made between political parties that are qualified to participate in the elections announced by the YSK.
 
It was stated that the alliance protocols of the parties that will enter the elections with the alliance must be submitted to the YSK until March 24, 17:00.
 
According to the decisions taken regarding political broadcasts, political advertisement broadcasting will be free from 18 March until 24.00 on Friday, 12 May, when the broadcast bans will begin.
 

A TOTAL OF 75 COUNTRIES WILL VOTE

 
YSK announced that 15 new countries have been added to the countries to vote abroad.
 
Newly added countries; While Afghanistan, Belarus, Brazil, Estonia, Morocco, Montenegro, Republic of Korea, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Portugal, Slovakia and Tanzania, it was stated that voters will cast their votes in 21 overseas representations in 15 new countries.
 
With the latest additions, voting will be done through 156 representations in 75 countries in total.
