"Any attempt to repeat the violation of the Syrian airspace by the Turkish warplanes will be responded and downed with all available means" the Syrian army general command said in a statement.
Turkey said on Thursday that its war planes hit a group of Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Unit (YPG), the military wing of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) late on Tuesday, which the Syrian statement called an act of "blatant aggression".
Turkey supports Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters opposed to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and is also trying to push Islamic State (IS) away from Syria's Turkish border.
