Going to the Idlib region of Syria, where the civil war has been going on for 11 years and a major humanitarian crisis has been experienced, the Milli Gazete witnesses the drama... Our correspondent, Furkan Erten, visited the tent cities in the region where the winter season is quite harsh, met with the oppressed Muslims and captured the extent of poverty that forces patience. The oppressed Syrians fighting for their lives in tents in Idlib told our newspaper about the deplorable state they experienced.
Milli Gazete, which displays the deplorable situation in Syria, continues to write the painful stories in tent cities. There is a great humanitarian crisis in tent cities, which are divided into two as regular and irregular, especially in the tents set up by the oppressed Syrians themselves. Unable to reach food, fuel and clothing, the oppressed in the camp are trying to make ends meet with humanitarian aid.
FOR THE FIRST TIME “CANSUYU” BROUGHT AID
Mustafa Ömer Rüstem, who is trying to maintain his life in the tent city, said, “Our situation here is very bad. No help came to camp for 5 months. For the first time today, aid is given by the Cansuyu Aid and Solidarity Association. Thank you for the blanket and coal donations. When help doesn't come, our life becomes very bad. Most of the workers work in construction. We do not have permanent jobs or jobs to make ends meet. That's why our families and all of us are getting by on donations."
“WE LIVE WITH THE AID”
Hasan Sellum, who lives in the tent city, said, “This is the Mulhak al-Amel camp. You see the situation, we are all in a miserable state. Our children are particularly devastated. We haven't been able to get any help for almost 2 years. It is important for us that you come and make our voices heard. Because we only live with the aid that comes here.”
