The names who spoke to our newspaper on the subject stated that the people of the Islamic geography and especially the administrators should take action in order to stop the death sentences in Egypt.

While the systematic persecution of the members of the Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) continues in Egypt, the latest news has increased the concerns. According to the information obtained from Egyptian sources, the Supreme Court in Egypt gave the final decision in the case regarding the anti-coup protests in Rabiat'ul Adaweya Square.

Accordingly, the death sentence given to 12 people, including the Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party (HAP), Muhammed al-Biltaci, and one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan), Safwat Hijazi, was upheld. While the decision in question was echoed in the international community, important statements were made to the Milli Gazete regarding the issue.

"THEY CAN BE EXECUTED ANYTIME"

“What should be done to stop the death sentences in Egypt?”

Lawyer Gülden Sönmez stated that Egypt is facing a great slaughter and destruction and said that all states, especially Turkey, all non-governmental organizations and all international mechanisms should put pressure on the Sisi regime. Stressing that it is important for peoples to protest against the Sisi administration, Sönmez, "After the coup in Egypt, thousands of civilians were tried in military courts. State of emergency courts were established. In these courts, false files were imposed on people, including children, by torture. More than one thousand five hundred people were sentenced to death. Many people were executed. Mohammed el-Biltaji and Safwat Hijazi, prominent figures in Egypt, could be executed at any time. There are other names that can be executed at any time. The gravity of this event is enormous," she said.

“WE INVITE TO STEP UP AND STAND AGAINST”

Abdulvahap Ekinci, President of the International Association of Muslim Scholars and Turkey Representative of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, made important evaluations to our newspaper regarding the death sentences approved in Egypt. Ekinci also stated that the death sentences approved in Egypt were based on false evidence and that basic human rights were ignored in Egypt. Ekinci stated that they condemned the Egyptian military administration, which sentenced 12 people to death and 32 people to life imprisonment.

"We invite all sensitive segments, human rights associations, non-governmental organizations and human rights courts to react, take steps and stand against the governments that violate human rights and punish people's right to seek their rights in the most ruthless way, both in Egypt and in other parts of the world," he said.

Abdulvahap Ekinci added that it is extremely embarrassing and disappointing for the future and dignity of humanity to make a weak voice in the face of lawlessness in Egypt.

“THE LEADERS AND PEOPLE OF THE ISLAMIC COUNTRIES MUST ACT”

Speaking to our newspaper about the death sentences upheld in Egypt, Milli Gazete columnist Abdülaziz Kıransal said that the death penalty given to 12 Muslims, including the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammed al-Biltaji and Safwat Hijazi, is a reflection of the culture of resistance against imperialism. He noted that it was a step taken to undermine the experience and knowledge gained over many years.

Kıransal stated that the whole life of the brave men who were brought up in the martyrdom and ordeal madrasah of Hasan al-Banna and took over the flag after him passed through resistance and struggle.

"It is the leaders of the Islamic countries who have all the means at their disposal to act. If the leaders of Islamic countries want to help these Muslims who are sentenced to death, they have to help with all the means required by their seats, not with their words and condemnation. It is the Muslim peoples who need to act. If non-governmental organizations are to make a call, they must appeal not to the oppressor Sisi, but to the leaders of Islamic countries and call for the mobilization of all legal, political, diplomatic and economic means to stop these atrocities and executions," he said.
