A weekly group meeting of the joint Turkish Grand National Assembly group of Saadet-Gelecek parties was held.
Speaking at the meeting, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Sabri Tekir celebrated the 571st anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul and noted that Istanbul has been the land of Islam since May 29, 1453.
Tekir underlined that Istanbul is one of the most important cultural and civilization centers of Islam and congratulated all citizens on the day of conquest.
“SHAME ON THOSE WHO CANNOT IMPLEMENT SANCTIONS”
Stating that Gaza and Palestine are still on the agenda of the Islamic world and the human world, Tekir stated that there is no cure left to curse Israel.
"We are curious; What else do you have left to talk about? How long will you continue to condemn this inhumane brutality and cruelty that you have condemned countless times since October 7? Since October 7; Since you started talking, Gaza has been destroyed, there are no more schools, mosques, or hospitals left to bomb, and now Israel is bombing and burning people, including children, trying to shelter in tents. You still can't do anything more than talk. The only thing that can be said to this is 'Shame on you'. Shame on those who have the same attitude as you in the face of these massacres. Shame on those who are content with condemning, those who cannot come together, and those who cannot impose sanctions," Tekir said.
“SHAME ON YOUR PEACE FORCE AND YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN RIGHTS”
Stating that some of those who see themselves as world leaders continue to remain spectators of inhumane brutality, Tekir noted that some of them prefer to remain silent due to fear or another reason, while some of them show the brutality and cruelty in their genes by supporting the brutality in Gaza.
"As world leaders, you all think you are leading the world. For God's sake, don't you have as much courage as a child from Gaza who resisted Israeli soldiers? You are the so-called world leader. One of the bloodiest genocides in history has been going on for about nine months. We are supposedly in the modern age. We are in the democratic age. We are also in an age where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights are said to be dominant. In a world where 'Peace Forces' exist to protect the weak. Shame on both your peacekeeping force and your understanding of human rights," Tekir added.
“THERE IS NO WAR CRIME LEFT THAT ISRAEL HAS NOT COMMITTED”
Reminding that D-8 was established to bring Islamic countries together, Tekir pointed out that it was established to make Islamic countries stronger together.
"However, today we are experiencing the consequences of not protecting D-8 due to myopic policies. The terrorist state called Israel has been massacring our brothers and sisters, looking into the eyes of the entire Islamic countries, for exactly nine months. There is no war crime that Israel has not committed. He became so brutal and debased that he declared an area a safe zone and then bombed that area. This is exactly what Israel has been bombing in Rafah for the last week, especially the last two days. This limitless brutality of Israel may be due to the power and permission it received from someone. And so it is. We wonder the reasons for this deep and devastating silence and inaction of Türkiye and the countries in the region," Tekir said.
“MAKE THE DECISIONS THAT GAZA, PALESTINE AND THE CONSCIENCE OF HUMANITY ARE WAITING FOR”
Stating that it was announced that the foreign ministers of the D-8 countries will meet with an extraordinary agenda, although it was a late decision, it was an important decision, Tekir touched upon the importance of the decisions to be taken from the meeting.
"Our hope is that the decisions that will come out of this meeting will not overshadow the founding purposes and weight of D-8. D-8 is not an international organization established for the purpose of issuing statements of condemnation. We are calling out to all member countries, especially Türkiye, under the roof of this Parliament; Be aware of the power of D-8. Be aware of how important it is for the future of the Islamic world. Not the condemnations that Israel expected; Take the decisions that Gaza, Palestine and the conscience of humanity expect. We are tired of condemning Israel and cursing Israel. Remember that, like every occupier, Israel will definitely be disappointed one day. The bitter end that every genocidaire experiences; Israel will definitely taste it one day," Tekir added.
