It has been 2 months since the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.

During this period, while work continues in 11 provinces affected by the earthquake, public employees in the region continue to carry out their duties.

"Turkey-Public Union" Deputy Chairman Talip Geylan called for the public employees working in the earthquake zone not to be forgotten.

"DISASTER COMPENSATION MUST BE PAID, HOUSING NEEDS MEETED"

Geylan pointed out that the public employees in the regions continued to work in order to heal the wounds of the disaster and return to normal in a 2-month period, and pointed out that the public employees were also victims of the earthquake.

"As Turkey Kamu-Sen, we say that 'Disaster compensation' should be paid to public employees and especially their shelter needs should be met with priority, in order to both solve the problems of public employees who work devotedly in the earthquake region and to encourage our civil servants who will come to the region," he said.

MAKING ARRANGEMENT WILL INCREASE WORKING PERMISSION ANOTHER TIME

Reminding that the Parliament will end its work, Geylan said, "Making an arrangement for the payment of disaster compensation in the earthquake area before the work is terminated due to the election will increase the determination of our public officials to work in terms of healing the wounds, and will also mean to appreciate our colleagues who perform their duties despite all kinds of difficulties."
