BASE WAGE LAW MUST BE BROUGHT BACK

In the written statement made by the Private Sector Teachers' Union, it was pointed out that the the basis of the practice for teachers to work in private schools was necessity, it was mentioned that it is important to re-enact the base salary application. In the statement, “The base salary application, which existed in the past but was abolished in 2014, needs to be brought back. In the law in question, the salaries of our friends working in public schools and equivalent private schools were equalized, preventing the loss of rights and partially protecting the employees. With the re-enactment of this law, our teachers will be able to breathe a little easier,” the statement said.

TEACHERS WERE VICTIMS WHEN THE REGULATION WAS REMOVED

The base salary arrangement for the wages of teachers working in private education institutions was canceled in 2014 and the teachers were left at the mercy of the bosses. According to the canceled regulation, teachers working in private education and training institutions cannot be paid less than their counterparts working in the public sector. After the cancellation of this regulation, teachers in many private education and training institutions continued to work at the minimum wage level or even lower.
