Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu held a regular weekly press conference. Saadet leader, who made statements about the issues on the agenda, made important statements on many issues, especially politics.

“RETIREES CAN ONLY GET 4 KG OF MEAT WITH THE HOLIDAY BONUS”

Saadet leader Temel Karamollaoğlu, who started his press conference by congratulating the Islamic world on Eid al-Adha, wished that the Eid would bring blessings to the country and humanity.

Karamollaoğlu, who continued his words by pointing out the difficulties of citizens buying qurban before the holiday, said, "Unfortunately, when we look at the markets before the holiday, we cannot see a peaceful holiday atmosphere. When we look at the markets in general this year; small cattle prices are between 6 and 10 thousand, and cattle qurbans are around 100 thousand liras. In other words, a sheep qurban is equivalent to a monthly salary of a minimum wage worker, and a cattle victim is almost equal to a year's income. Today, only 4 kilos of meat can be bought with the holiday bonus of 2 thousand liras given to our retirees. In today's conditions, it has become very difficult to get a qurban even for our minimum wage and retired citizens, public workers and civil servants. The issue that confronts us with this bad picture today is due to wrong economic policies in general and mainly wrong agriculture and livestock policies. We always say; agriculture and animal husbandry is a matter of national security. It should be handled seriously and sensitively. We have been emphasizing and warning this for years; however, the power is never there and unfortunately the situation is clear."

“THIS ECONOMY POLICY MUST CHANGE”

Karamollaoğlu, who made evaluations about the interim increase rate made to the minimum wage in the past days, "Policies in country management should be handled with a holistic approach. You cannot think of justice independent of economy, education from industry, agriculture from health, foreign policy from domestic policy. All of them affect each other, a mistake made in one of them creates a negative effect in all other areas. You cannot close the budget deficit without closing the justice deficit and the current account deficit without closing the confidence deficit. This is the point reached in 21 years with the sentences 'We made the minimum wage this much, we will make the civil servant salary this much, we did these, we will do the following'; After that, there is no place to go with the same wrong mentality, there is no more. Although the newly determined minimum wage seems to be manageable at first glance, it will melt away after a few months unless the economic policies and mentality change. Not only the minimum wage earners, even civil servants are now trying to live on wages at the poverty line", he said.

Emphasizing that the problems experienced by all segments of society continue to increase, Karamollaoğlu stated that the government should implement concrete and permanent solutions, not words.

“WORDS AND BEHAVIORS THAT WILL DEEPEN THE SOCIAL CLEAVAGE SHOULD BE AVOIDED”

Underlining that Turkey has no time to lose with vicious debates and artificial agendas, Karamollaoğlu noted that citizens are tired and pessimistic due to social polarization.

Karamollaoğlu reminded the language used during the election period.

"The perceptions and manipulations produced made brother offend against brother, father offended by child; It has made a difference between neighbors and relatives. Now is the time to end resentments, resentments and resentments; It's time to leave these useless debates behind. I express clearly; This street is a dead end. Cracking the social fault lines further does no one any good. Words and behaviors that will deepen the social cleavage should be abandoned immediately. At this point, the biggest task falls to the power. The 'us and them' discourse, the eagerness to put all dissidents in the bracket of 'terror', and these rude attitudes that even question people's Islam, may seem like they won votes in the short term, but it should not be forgotten that they cause loss for our country and cause irreparable problems," he said.

Karamollaoğlu called on all political party leaders, especially President Erdoğan, to end tensions and ensure peace.

“EVERY CONCRETE SPILLED IS NOT A GREAT SERVICE”

Karamollaoğlu, who criticized the negligence in the accidents that occurred on the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Line, which was put into operation in the past months, said, "The line, which was announced to be completed in 6 years, but was completed in 15 years, was opened in a hurry before the election and the disaster was returned within 2 months. In the train accident that occurred in Çorlu in 2018, 25 of our citizens, 7 of whom were children, lost their lives and 328 of our citizens were injured. If lessons had been learned from this disaster, would similar events have happened again today? How you do it is as important as what you do. Unfortunately, this point has been ignored until now. For this reason, it should be stopped from presenting every concrete poured as a 'great service' without evaluating the infrastructure, superstructure, cost and efficiency, especially the preparation and feasibility studies of the projects."

“THE STATE OF TERROR ISRAEL IS THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE TO PEACE”

"We have Palestinian brothers and sisters who are subjected to vile attacks by killer Israel every Ramadan and before every holiday. The other day, the occupation forces of the terrorist state of Israel brutally attacked the city of Jenin. A small child and 5 of our Palestinian brothers lost their lives in this attack. There are more than 30 injured. May God have mercy on our martyrs, a speedy recovery to our wounded, I wish patience and condolences to the brotherly Palestinian people", Karamollaoğlu said.

Condemning the attacks with a harsh language, Karamollaoğlu continued his words as follows:

"This massacre was committed publicly in 2023, in front of everyone. But as usual, everyone is almost blind, deaf and dumb. Those who persecute and those who remain silent about oppression are common. This situation is especially embarrassing for the Islamic world and of course for the world. All countries should oppose Israel. There is the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, 57 member countries. What's the use for God's sake? If you can't be a balm to a wound, the organization you have established is of no value. Condemning doesn't mean anything. Now it has become fashionable, Islamic countries have lined up to 'normalize' with Israel. The killers, who gain strength from this silence, become pampered with each passing day and shed blood and tears. Before Eid al-Adha, I call on the authorities of our country, the leaders of Islamic countries and the world public opinion. This fire burns everyone. The terror state of Israel is the biggest obstacle to the peace and tranquility of the world, especially in our region."
