Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu evaluated the agenda at the weekly regular press conference held at his party's headquarters.
Karamollaoğlu, who said that natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes have occurred in Turkey recently, wished Allah's mercy on those who lost their lives in the flood in Rize, and wished speed recovery to wounded.
Congratulating the athletes who won medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Karamollaoğlu wished success to the athletes who continue to compete.
Referring to the 10-fold increase in water bills announced by Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who came to the agenda with a statement he made in the past days, Karamollaoğlu emphasized that he did not have such a right, "We are deeply saddened by the discriminatory words of a mayor towards refugees. I was astonished when it was stated that the water and solid waste costs of refugees would be increased 10 times. What conscience can digest that? It is clear that the solution is political. While Europe is closing its borders to refugees, whose numbers are not even a hundred, it gives Turkey the task of keeping refugees in exchange for bribes, so to speak. Turkey has almost become a country that performs law enforcement duties so that peace is not disturbed beyond the border of Edirne," Karamollaoglu said.
WHAT HAPPENED IN TUNISIA IS A BLOW TO DEMOCRACY
Emphasizing that they closely follow the events in Tunisia, Karamollaoğlu condemned the coup attempt by the President, "The suspension of the will of the Tunisian people has made us worry. The dismissal of the prime minister and the suspension of the parliament's activities are perceived as a blow to democracy. We hope that all the negativities in Tunisia will be eliminated and Tunisia will re-enter the normal democratic process," he added.
"WE FELL BEHIND DOMINICA IN NATIONAL INCOME"
Emphasizing that there has been a serious decrease in per capita income since 2013, Karamollaoğlu said, "Our per capita income, which was around 13,000 dollars in 2013, decreased to 7,700 dollars, while it should have increased to 23,000 dollars in 8 years. While claiming that we will surpass the EU's 8 developed countries of the world, we are now behind countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Gabon and the Dominican Republic."
