Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu made a written statement regarding the "Conquest of Istanbul and Earthquake Martyrs Commemoration Program" organized by AGD in Kahramanmaraş this year due to earthquakes.
Emphasizing that many lessons should be learned from the Conquest of Istanbul, Karamollaoğlu underlined that the commemoration program organized by AGD in Kahramanmaraş is very meaningful.

“NATIONAL AND SPIRITUAL VALUES ARE BASED ON CONQUESTS”
Karamollaoğlu stated that the 570th anniversary of the Conquest of Istanbul was realized.
"What is conquest beyond celebration, how does a 'conquest movement' succeed; We try to understand and make sense of it. Because there are so many lessons to be learned from the conquest of Istanbul and we need it so much today... We must analyze the life and understanding of conquest of Abu Ayyoub al-Ansari, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Akşemseddin and Ulubatlı Hasan very well and draw a direction for today's world and determine a road map from the lessons we have learned. If and only if a conquest movement takes our national and moral values as a reference, if it replaces and preserves justice under all circumstances, and if it aims to keep people humanely alive; It means that it was able to make sense of the conquest," Karamollaoğlu said.
“WE HAVE A GREAT RESPONSIBILITY”
Karamollaoğlu, underlined that the world needs a new conquest and a new understanding today.
"Today means conquest; It is a struggle for the good. It is wearing good manners. It is to defend justice against oppression, fair distribution against exploitation, equality against oppression and domination. In a period where ambitions replace ideals, values are corrupted and concepts are emptied; We, the heirs of a civilization that has been the pioneer of freedom, justice and tolerance throughout history, have great responsibilities in this sense. Just as the conquest of Istanbul closed a dark age and opened a new one; Our work on today's world by understanding the meaning of conquest will be the beginning of a just, prosperous and peaceful 'New World'," Karamollaoğlu added.
"I REMEMBER OUR MARTYRS WITH MERCY"
Karamollaoğlu stated that it is meaningful to organize the Conquest of Istanbul programs in Kahramanmaraş, which was hit by the earthquake, and said, "I believe this with all my heart. With this belief; I commemorate with mercy and gratitude our ancestors, doubters and veterans, especially Fatih Sultan Mehmet, the architect of the conquest and the great statesman, who bequeathed us the holy city of Istanbul. I would like to thank you for this event you held in Kahramanmaraş, and on this occasion, I wish mercy from Allah (SWT) to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, the epicenter of which was again in Kahramanmaraş and which was felt in many cities, and I wish patience to their relatives. I sincerely congratulate our Anatolian Youth Association and you, my dear brothers, for helping us understand and live the meaning of conquest. Happy 570th anniversary of the Conquest of Istanbul!"
