ASO Representatives Reception, which was organized for the 10th time this year by the Ankara Chamber of Industry, aiming to bring together the Ankara business world and the representatives of foreign missions in Ankara, was held at the Ethnography Museum. Making the opening speech of the reception, ASO President Nurettin Özdebir said, "In this beautiful Ankara evening, I would like to express that we are very happy to be with you at our 10th reception this year, which has now become a tradition. Unfortunately, we could not hold our reception last year due to the pandemic. I hope that we will get through these troubled days as soon as possible with the sensitivity of the whole world to vaccines. During the past 9 years, we have seen that very good cooperation has developed in these invitations, where we brought together the representatives of foreign missions and the Ankara business world. Also, good friendships were formed. We are very happy about that."
YAVAŞ: “WE NEED TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FLYING FROM ANKARA TO OVERSEAS”
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş also thanked the Ankara Chamber of Industry for their kind invitation and stated that they will continue to work with a common mind to make Ankara the capital of production and industry. In his speech, Yavaş touched upon the issue of direct flights from Ankara to abroad and said:
"When our foreign guests living in Ankara come to visit us, the question they ask is why there is no direct flight from Ankara to our country. If we want to develop bilateral trade, the number of international flights from Ankara must be increased. While there are 4 flights a day from Istanbul, we question why one of them is not given to Ankara. As a result of the contacts made by the ASO and Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) presidents, we have achieved successful results. We expect the same success from you, our esteemed ambassadors."
