Karamollaoğlu criticized President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's words towards Good (IYI) Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener.
"Political parties are not enemies of each other, but rivals. Political leaders, on the other hand, are people who should lead and set an example for the society with their style and approach. In this context, it is the primary duty of all of us to build politics along with competition," Karamollaoğlu said.
Felicity (Saadet) Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu reacted to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's words about Good (IYI) Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener. Stating that President Erdogan's party's words in the group meeting caused tension in politics, Karamollaoğlu gave a warning of courtesy.
Reminding that the developments before and after Akşener's visit to the İkizdere district of Rize caused a new tension and debate in politics, "First of all, I would like to remind you once again that political parties are not enemies of each other, but rivals. Political leaders, on the other hand, are people who should lead and set an example for the society with their style and approach. In this context, it is the primary duty of all of us to build politics along with competition. Of course, the one who should pay attention to this is the President of the Republic in terms of the office he represents," Karamollaoğlu added.
“WE REJECT POLARIZING LANGUAGE”
Pointing out that the nation needs morale and motivation more than ever, Karamollaoğlu said, "Discourses that offend the voters and polarize the society do not benefit our country or our nation. As the Felicity Party, we say "yes" to the competition, but we reject the language that threatens, polarizes and enemies. In particular, the President's speech towards Mrs. Akşener today; The statement 'Things are going to happen, these are better days' is far from the responsibility of the office it has assumed. We invite Mr. Erdogan to abandon this language and approach as soon as possible and to adopt a style and approach befitting the "Presidential office" that he represents."
