Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu attended the Izmir Second Century Economics Congress.
Karamollaoğlu gave a speech focused on Turkey's industrialization moves, economic development and income distribution at the congress, which was also attended by the leaders of the Nation Alliance and presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
“WE WERE BUILDING AIRCRAFT IN THE 1920s, SO WHERE ARE WE NOW?”
Talking about the development moves in the first years of the Republic and the factories that were established one after the other, Karamollaoğlu reminded that Turkey was an aircraft exporting country in those years.
"In my personal opinion, one of the most important works that needs to be done in Turkey today is the establishment of the aircraft industry. Oddly enough, this was brought up as the most important issue at that time. The foundation of the aircraft factory was laid immediately, and aircraft production began immediately. When? 1920s… So where are we now? Sorry, I'm sorry to express. It is said not to fly that much when some issues are brought up. What a fly, folks go to the Moon, go to Mars. When we go from one place to another in our own country, we can only travel by buying planes manufactured by other countries. What fly?" Karamollaoglu asked.
“INJUSTICE IN INCOME DISTRIBUTION”
Karamollaoğlu stated that there is a very serious injustice in income distribution in Turkey.
"We need to ensure fairness in the distribution of income. Look at the collective agreements in Turkey for years; the wisdom is divine, the men are very merciful, they are always done at the border of hunger. May our people not go hungry. So, how will this person meet his child's shoes, his own clothing, school needs, electricity, natural gas? He says I will not interfere with him. Did he fill his stomach, that was enough. Can there be a greater injustice than this, for God's sake? What is our target? In the economy, there is another border called the poverty line, not the hunger line. In today's conditions, the poverty line is about 2.5 times that of hunger. Does this happen all of a sudden? Of course, it won't happen in a year or two, but if you choose it as a goal, it is possible to achieve it. Of course, this will be among our number one goals. We will ensure a fair distribution of income," Karamollaoglu added.
“WE CARE TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM”
Reminding the CHP and MSP coalition period, Karamollaoğlu concluded his words as follows:
"During that coalition period, the Cyprus Victory was won. There have been different meetings, studies and 50 years have passed. We accepted that we should address these issues again and that parties with different views should come together and set out to solve Turkey's problems. We care about the change of the Presidential System. We have taken a step that has never been done in the history of the Republic. We signed and implemented the coalition protocol even before the coalition was formed. Current conditions demand it. I believe this election will be won by a large margin. 6 political parties came together and reached a consensus. Each of us will see how important this is."
