Turkey was shaken by earthquakes that occurred one after another in Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş on Monday, February 6th.
In the earthquake that affected 10 provinces, great damage occurred in the districts as well as the epicenter of the Kahramanmaraş city center.
While the 6th day of the earthquake is behind, the citizens of Kahramanmaraş need tents to protect themselves from the night cold.
“NO ONE COME FOR TWO DAYS”
Many earthquake survivors are waiting for the good news to come by staying by the debris even hours after the earthquake.
Relatives of the family waiting next to the destroyed building, "In the first hours of the earthquake, I was able to get out of my house and escape. But I still have relatives inside. From the first moment I waited for someone to come. But nobody came," he said.
“TENTS NEEDED”
While cold climatic conditions are effective in earthquake regions, there is a danger of hypothermia at night.
It is noteworthy that there is a serious need for tents in the regions as the cold, which reaches minus 10 at night, affects the earthquake victims.
In the city, where the danger of hypothermia continues, earthquake victims who have cars spend the night in their cars, while citizens staying on the street try to warm up with small fires they light.
