A busy week awaits deputies in the Parliament. At the General Assembly, which will start its weekly work on Tuesday, the Presidential memorandum regarding the extension of the mandate of the Turkish soldier in Lebanon for one more year within the scope of the United Nations Interim Task Force (UNIFIL) will be discussed. On the same day, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez will inform the Assembly about the explosion in the mine in Amasra.
PRIVATE INDUSTRY LAW PROPOSAL IS COMING TO THE PARLIAMENT
Parliament is entering a busy week in which it will discuss important issues. After the General Assembly, deliberations on the Bill on the Amendment of the Law on Industrial Zones will begin. With the proposal, the requirement of 150 thousand square meters in established areas will be reduced to 100 thousand square meters, and the requirement of 200 thousand square meters in vacant areas will be reduced to 150 thousand square meters, and it is aimed that high-tech, strategic, value-added investments with high export potential will benefit from the opportunities of special industrial zones. The investors in industrial areas will be exempt from the fees related to licenses, approvals and permits approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Executive company officials who do not fulfill their obligations will be fined from 50,000 Turkish Liras (TL) to 200,000 TL by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
BAG LAW IN THE PLAN AND BUDGET COMMISSION
The Planning and Budget Committee met on Monday and decided to make amnesty, end the execution proceedings for small amount of receivables, interest-free repayment of education and contribution loans, electricity and natural gas support to employees, tax exemption for meal fee paid in cash, payment of receivables followed by asset management companies by the Treasury, will continue the negotiations on the Bill of Law on Amending the Income Tax Law and Some Laws and Decrees, which includes the abolition of administrative fines due to non-compliance with the measures taken to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic.
2023 BUDGET IS COMING TO THE PARLIAMENT
The Sub-Commission on Investigation of the Rights of Convicts and Prisoners, established within the body of the Commission for Investigation of TBMM Human Rights, will convene on Thursday. In the commission, examination reports of Silivri Penal Institutions and Tekirdağ Penitentiary Institutions will be discussed. In addition, weekly group meetings organized by political parties will be held in the TBMM. On the other hand, the 2023 Central Government Budget Law Proposal is expected to be submitted to the Presidency of the Assembly on Monday.
