Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç evaluated the political and economic agenda of the country at the press conference held at the Izmir Provincial Presidency of the Saadet Party. In a press statement attended by many members of the media, Şerafettin Kılıç pointed out that the purchasing power of citizens in Turkey is eroding day by day. Noting that Turkey is facing a very deep economic crisis, Şerafettin Kılıç stated that a grocery cart is filled with only basic necessities for around 1,000 Turkish Liras (TL).
TURKSTAT IS BLACKING INFLATION OUT
In his press statement, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç drew attention to the inflation problem and said, “Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has been criticized for the inflation data it has recently announced. However, TURKSTAT is making a blackout when it should be guiding with the right information. Despite this, in order for us to put forward the right policies and find our way in the economy, TURKSTAT, whose numbers we need to have differences, is almost blacking out our nation and leaves our nation in doubt. We all know the inflation figures for May: According to TURKSTAT, inflation increased by 2,98 percent on a monthly basis and by 73,50 percent on an annual basis in May. In the process when these figures were announced, the resignations of important figures in TURKSTAT were reflected to the public.”
“We will not force or condemn our youth to foreign doors”
Stating that the government, which cannot fix the economy, is trying to correct the perception, Şerafettin Kılıç stated that the wrong economic policies make the nation tired, “But no matter how much they play with perception, unemployment is in the middle, the hunger and poverty line is in the middle. The daily hikes, our shopkeepers who can't open their shutters, our workers who can't see the end of the month with minimum wage, and our retirees who live in African standards are all in the clear. There is a solution to these problems; As the Saadet Party, we will increase production-oriented investments. We will give priority to investments that increase employment. We will encourage agriculture and animal husbandry. We will abolish the corruption and poverty system. We will establish an economy where our people do not worry about their future and have the opportunity to live a happy and prosperous life for their children. We will not force or condemn our youth to foreign doors," he said.
“TAKE THE LEADER OF MİLLİ GÖRÜŞ NECMETTİN ERBAKAN AS AN EXAMPLE”
Stating that President Erdoğan should take the late Milli Görüş Leader Necmettin Erbakan as an example, as one of the most exceptional names in our political history, Şerafettin Kılıç added, “The late Erbakan never changed his style even in the most difficult and troubled days. He never entered into a discourse that would make the nation hostile to each other. Necmettin Erbakan's style should be taken as an example by everyone, especially by the President. Our Hodja was imprisoned, he saw political bans, his parties were closed, but he did not hurt this nation even once. He even forgave those who had wronged him the most. The Welfare (Refah) Party did not change its style even on the day it was closed; he said, ‘This decision in the course of history is a simple point.’ This style and decency of our Erbakan Hodja should set an example for everyone, especially for the President.”
