In the proposal, which will deal with some studies on the currency-protected deposit system, it is planned not to collect corporate tax from the earnings of companies. In addition, the Bill of Law on Amending the Attorneyship Law will be discussed at the General Assembly.
The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) continues its legislative work. Deputies will work overtime in the General Assembly of the TBMM for the Bill of Law on the Amendment of the Banking Law and Some Laws and the Decree Law No. 655.
CORPORATE TAX WILL NOT BE TAKEN ON EARNINGS
According to the proposal, companies that convert their foreign currencies in their balance sheets into Turkish Liras (TL) at the conversion rate until the end of this year and use them in TL deposit and participation accounts with a maturity of at least 3 months will not be subject to Corporate Tax from the interest and profit shares and other earnings obtained at the end of maturity. All commercial deposits and participation funds, except those belonging to official institutions, credit institutions and financial institutions will be insured by the Savings Deposits Insurance Fund.
LAWYER LAW WILL BE DISCUSSED
The amounts spent from the central government budget for metro projects, the construction of which has been completed and transferred to metropolitan municipalities by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, will be collected at a maximum of 5 percent of the municipalities' general budget tax revenues. A Bill on Amending the Attorneyship Law will be discussed later in the General Assembly. According to the proposal, working as an insured in any job will not prevent the practice of attorneyship, provided that it does not actually prevent the internship. In provinces where there is more than one bar association, a legal aid office will be established by each bar association.
THE TBMM IS ON THE AGENDA OF THE COMMISSIONS
The State Owned Enterprise (KİT) Commission will continue its inspection program. The Commission, will examine the accounts of Post and Telegraph Corporation and its subsidiaries, on Tuesday, Electricity Generation Company, Turkey Electromechanicals Industry Corp. and Ankara Natural Electricity Production and Trade Corp. on Wednesday, for the year 2019-2020. In the meantime, weekly group meetings of political parties will be held in the TBMM.
