Objecting to thousands of ballot boxes in the May 14 elections, the opposition took action to ensure the safety of the ballot boxes in the second round.

In the first round, the opposition, which was seen to have no officers at the ballot box in some regions, is expected to double the number of polling officers in the province, district and provinces in the second round.

While it is seen that a similar preparation was made in the ruling wing, it is stated that the security of the ballot boxes will be ensured by this method in the second round.

The alliances of People and Nation, which want to protect the votes that show the will of more than 60 million voters who are preparing to go to the polls for the presidential elections, which are in the second round, are preparing to double the number of officials at the polls.

NATION ALLIANCE DECLARED MOBILIZATION

The allegations of irregularity in the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections once again brought the issue of election security to the agenda.

Stating that irregularities were made for 2,269 ballot boxes in the presidential election and 4,825 ballot boxes in the parliamentary election, the CHP appealed by stating that the wet-signed minutes obtained by the party and the ballot box results shared by the Supreme Election Board (YSK) with the public did not match.

While the Green Left Party and the Workers' Party of Turkey, which are in the opposition wing, made similar applications, the presidential elections, which went to the second round, came to mind.

The Nation Alliance, which was criticized for not having officials in the ballot boxes established in some regions in the first round, took action to ensure ballot box security in the second round elections.

While the issue came to the fore at the first leaders' summit held after the election, the parties within the Nation Alliance called the organizations and declared mobilization.

Provincial and district organizations, which started to work in this context, took action to have officers in the ballot boxes, completed and presented new lists.

The Nation Alliance, which replaced the officials who were on duty in the first round but were not at the ballot boxes, will thus have at least two officials in each ballot box, not making the mistake made on 14 May.

NUMBER OF VOLUNTARY APPLICATIONS REACHED HALF MILLION

Making statements to ensure the security of the ballot boxes, the presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, stated that five observers are needed at each ballot box and called on the voters to volunteer at the ballot boxes.

After this call, the voters who took action to be on duty at the ballot boxes applied to the organizations named 'Vote and Beyond' and 'Turkey Volunteers' to become volunteers.

While it was seen that the two organizations reached a total of 182 thousand volunteers in the first round of elections, this figure reached 500 thousand in the second round.

The number is expected to increase even more, with a period of 6 days remaining for the elections.

WORKS ARE COMPLETED AT THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE

The People's Alliance, which has observers in almost all ballot boxes in the first round elections, continues its efforts for the presidential elections, which will go to the second round.

Having completed the trainings for ballot box officials, the AK Party took action to increase the number of observers at the ballot boxes. Acting in coordination with the parties in the People's Alliance, the AK Party also called on the voters who wanted to volunteer to ensure ballot box security during the election process and asked for support.
