The attacks launched by Israel on the city of Jenin in the West Bank occupied by Israel on July 3 and continued for 48 hours from the air and land are described as the greatest destruction of the last 20 years in the region.
Palestinian journalist Rana Salahat, about the Israeli forces attacking the Jenin Refugee Camp and displacing hundreds of Palestinians after years.
"Israel does not need any reason to commit crime and attack when there is global silence on its actions," Salahat said.
Rana Salahat, a journalist in Palestine, evaluated the attacks on Jenin and the increasing rights violations by Jewish settlers in recent months, with mass attacks on Palestinian villages and towns.
Recalling that Israel has carried out consecutive unmanned aerial vehicle attacks in the occupied West Bank for the first time since 2006, Salahat said, "This was the largest air and ground invasion of Jenin since 2006. Occupation forces attacked Jenin and Jenin Refugee Camp, killing 12 people and injuring 100 people, 20 of them seriously. Unfortunately, hundreds of Jenin Refugee Camp residents were displaced once again."
"THE OCCUPIERS ARE MORE HATEFUL AND TERRIBLE"
Salahat noted that attacks by Jewish occupiers against Palestinians, such as physical attacks, throwing stones, writing racist words on their homes, arson, damaging their property and destroying agricultural lands, have intensified this year and made the following assessment:
"The invaders are more hateful and terrible. Everything they do is under the protection of the occupation forces, which helps them commit violations and crimes without worry. Many Palestinians were injured in the attack by the invaders on the village of Calud, south of Nablus. The incident took place under the protection of terrorist Israeli soldiers. It's the same in Ramallah, Salfit and Bethlehem."
Explaining that he also experienced these attacks, Salahat said, "I was returning from Ramallah to Nablus, where I live. We were at the checkpoint. Suddenly a few female settlers attacked our vehicle and they nearly smashed it. The occupation soldiers were watching this situation standing up."
Rana Salahat pointed out the rights violations that took place in Palestine only in May, and said that 3,713 rights violations were committed against Palestinians in a month.
PALESTINE IS LEFT ALONE
Salahat emphasized that Palestinians fight not only physical violence but also psychological violence.
"Palestine has been left alone and this creates many psychological and physical effects on Palestinians. We are disappointed by the continuation of the occupation and the violations we have suffered without adequate support from the international community. We are angry and sad," Salahat added.
