The budget, which had a deficit of 25 billion lira in the January-June period of last year, gave deficit over 46 billion lira in the same period of this year. The central government budget provided 25.6 billion lira in June and 46.1 billion lira in January-June period. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury also announced budget implementation results for June and January-June period. Accordingly, budget revenues in June increased by 17.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 51.5 billion liras, while budget expenditures rose by 33.8 percent to 77.2 billion liras.
January-June period events
Central government budget, January-June period, gave a deficit of 46 billion 91 million pounds. In the same period, the primary deficit was 12 billion 283 million pounds. Budget expenditures, which were 324 billion 435 million TL in January-June period of last year, increased by 23.2 percent in the same period of this year and reached 399 billion 691 million TL. In the January-June period, the budget expenditures excluding interest were calculated as 365 billion 884 million TL with an increase of 23 percent. On the other hand, in the mentioned period interest expenditures have increased by 25.3 percent compared to the same period of last year and reached 33 billion 807 million liras
Personnel expenses increased by 20 percent
Personnel expenses in January-June period compared to the same period last year increased by 20.5 percent to 98 billion 569 million pounds.
State social security contributions to the state of the previous year increased by 22.6 percent compared to the same period last year was 16 billion 389 million pounds. Procurement of goods and services increased by 16.3 percent compared to the same period of last year and reached 30 billion 713 million liras. Current transfers in this period, according to the same period last year, increased by 14.5 percent to 164 billion 689 million pounds was determined. Health, retirement and social aid expenses of 74 billion 981 million pounds transferred. This figure is 1.4 percent lower than the same period last year.

Central government budget in the January-June period of this year was 399 billion 691 million pounds spent. Budget revenues were 353 billion 601 million TL in this period. The Treasury and the Ministry of Finance announced the budget realization results for June and January-June period. Accordingly, last month, 23 billion 234 million pounds of primary deficit was given. In short, the same month last year was 12 billion 461 million pounds.
2018 central government budget expenditures for the budget for the total of 762 billion 753 million pounds last month, 77 billion 162 million pounds were spent. In the same month of last year, this figure was 57 billion 678 million TL. Last month, budget expenditures for non-interest projected total of 691 billion 53 million pounds by using 10. 8 percent of 74 billion 772 million pounds spent. Personnel expenditures increased by 25.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and were recorded as 16 billion 621 million TL in June. 9.1 per cent of the 183 billion 127 million pounds foreseen in the budget for personnel expenses was used.
State social security premiums for social security institutions increased by 27,1% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and reached to 2 billion 761 million TL, and 9% of the budget of 30 billion 792 million TL was spent on the budget.
For the expenditures for the purchase of goods and services, 7.7 percent of the budget foreseen in the budget of 66 billion 69 million TL was used last month. In other words, the goods and services were withdrawn 5 billion 90 million pounds with a decrease of 2 percent per month. Current transfers were 39 billion 989 million TL in the last month, increasing by 44.1 percent compared to June 2017. 13.9 percent of the estimated 299 billion 399 million pounds in the budget was spent. In other words, 22 billion 957 million pounds transferred for health, retirement and social aid expenditures per month. The amount of the transfer made by the Treasury to pay 5 percentage points of the employer's share of the social security premium was 1 billion 163 million TL.
Agricultural support payments included in current transfers amounted to 629 million TL and the shares of local administrations were 7 billion 179 million TL. 5 billion 468 million liras capital lease, 1 billion 31 million lira capital transfer was made in June. Lending expenditures amounted to 3 billion 813 million lira. Interest expenses increased by 86.7% compared to the same month of the previous year and recorded as 2 billion 390 million pounds.
