The budget will be presented to the Parliament on October 17

While an intense budget marathon is expected in October, the 2023 budget will be the last budget of the 27th legislative term. The budget calendar will run in the Commission and the General Assembly for 2 months.

The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) is preparing for an intense budget marathon in the coming days. The final budget of the 5th of the Presidential Government System and of 27th legislative periods will be presented to the Parliament on October 17. The 2023 budget proposal is submitted to the Parliament on October 17, in accordance with the Constitution. 

This year, the proposal will be presented to the Planning and Budget Committee by Vice President Fuat Oktay. The 2023 budgets of ministries, institutions and organizations will be discussed in depth at the Commission for a month. 

Ministers will share their activities and future projects with the commission members. 

Budget discussions will then be moved to the General Assembly of the Parliament. 2023 budget discussions will be held for two weeks at the General Assembly in December.
