In his speech here, Nebati said, “Our exports broke a record in every month of 2022 and exceeded an annualized $253 billion in October, reaching the highest level in the history of the Republic. Today, Turkey is in a strong economy position, exporting to 228 countries and regions and increasing its share in world exports to over 1 percent.” On the other hand, Minister Nebati said, “To date, 91,6 billion Turkish Liras (TL) support has been paid to Currency Protected Deposit accounts. As of November 9, the savings of 2,3 million depositors, approximately 1,5 trillion TL, were valued in these accounts.” Nebati also stated that the renewal rate for Treasury-supported accounts is around 70 percent.

“WE ABANDON ABOUT 276,8 BILLION TL TAX REVENUE”

Nebati said, “We will implement the Action Plan to Combat Informal Economy covering the period 2023-2025,” and also talked about the support given to electricity production. Nebati said, “We provide electricity consumption support up to 150 kilowatt-hours to 2,1 million households. Our goal is to increase this support to 4 million households. In this context, it is planned to allocate 4,8 billion TL to the Social Assistance and Solidarity Encouragement Fund in 2023.” Nebati also added, “In 2022, we are giving up tax revenue of 276,8 billion TL as part of the fight against inflation. Thus, by taking into account the purchasing power of our citizens, we also provide significant support to the fight against inflation through tax policies.”
