Remarkable information about the minimum wage negotiations, which will start in the first week of December, has started to come. The demand for "justly wages", rising from the opposition and the public, brought the criterion change to the agenda. According to the allegations, bargaining made with the hunger limit as a criterion, this time the criterion will be the cost of living of a single employee. These days, when the hunger limit exceeds 3,000 liras, the eyes of the minimum wage workers, who make up one third of the society with their families, are turned to what the 2022 minimum wage will be. While the inflation in the markets exceeds 40 percent, the workers' front demands that the real inflation be taken as a basis in the negotiations, not the official figures.

BARGAIN WILL BEGIN OVER 3,500- 3,750 TL

Consisted public pressure forced the detection commission to change the criteria. According to the information reached by the Milli Gazete, the commission, which will not take the hunger limit as a criterion, will be based on the one-month living cost of a single employee. As such, on the amount to be negotiated will be 3,500-3,750 Turkish Liras. Thus, a 30-35 percent increase in the minimum wage will come to the agenda.

THE MINISTRY STARTED TO PREPARE

According to the "Limit of Hunger and Poverty" research, which is shared with the public every month by the unions, it is recorded that the income loss of an employee is 650-700 Turkish Liras compared to the previous year. According to the allegations that the Ministry of Labor takes this figure into account, the Ministry wants to cover this loss. It has also been claimed that calculations and reports have begun to be prepared to be submitted to the Commission for this purpose.
