With the abolition of the Annan Plan, under the auspices of the UN, Cyprus negotiations began again in Geneva yesterday. The attitude of Turkey causes reacts regarding the TRNC, which is again put on the table in Geneva. Political power that says 'no solution is not a solution' after gets the answer "No" form the Greek Cybriots is on the way the end of the distorted game. The talks, which started in Geneva yesterday, received a hard reaction from the Saadet Party.

Deputy chairman of the Felicity Party and responsible of External Relations Hasan Bitmez, described the negotiations that started in Geneva as an "irrelevant conference", "Today's offer does not give us anything. The guarantors on the whole of the island which are Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), If they say "YES" to the agreement we are done" he expressed.

SO TO SAY "WE ARE IN THE SOUP"

Bitmez describing the negotiations, which began in Geneva yesterday, as "an irrelevant conference," and "Geneva conferences are an unfortunate conference in terms of our national interests. This conference and similar talks have been held hundreds of times for years. Today's offer does not give us anything. "Today's offer does not give us anything. The guarantors on the whole of the island which are Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), If they say "YES" to the agreement so to say "we are in the soup" he expressed.

DO NOT EXPECT FAIRNESS FROM GREEKS AND GREEK CYPRIOTS

"We can not expect any kind of fairness from Greek Cypriots, nor Greek Cypriots, nor the EU or the UN" Bitmez said. "Their attitudes so far have been against Turks and Turkey. The reason for the Cyprus Peace Operation was based on the persecution and massacres in the island. Two-Stated Federate system in the island does not make any contribution to us. Federated state means to deliver the island to the Greeks. We know the Greeks. For years they persecuted. But today there is a peace in the island. This peace comes from the border that exists in the island. An independent state thesis has to be maintained in terms of Turkey's national interests. Turkey will have done a good job when it comes to the promotion of the independent state and stopping appeal to the EU. It will be the most beneficial work for the rest of the people living in the island." he added.

GREEKS ALWAYS WILL DEMAND NEW REQUESTS

According to the information leaked to the media before the Geneva talks, Bitmez evaluated the map of 7 percent of the land to be given to the Greeks by the Turks. "In the referendum of the Annan Plan, the Turks said `Yes` and the Greeks said `No` and they came to this point.  The Greek Cypriots will never give up its original targets even if 7 percent of the soil demand in front of the TRNC is accepted today. They will always make new demands. No offer can be accept on the table in Geneva. There is no coming back that the AK Party government will take the wrong step to repair it" he said.

ISRAEL IS BEHIND THIS ISSUE

Bitmez stated that if these proposals were accepted, withdrawing Turkish soldiers from the island would also impose on Turkey, he also pointed to the strategic position of the island. Bitmez, "Basically the pressure on Turkey is based on Israel's natural gas, oil and water demands. Israel is behind the Cyprus talks" he said.

TURKEY'S SECURITY STARTS IN CYBRUS

Bitmez stated that the issue of terrorism is also related to Cyprus, "Turkey's security is not based on AlepPO but on Cyprus. The international forces under the terrorist attacks that we have recently encountered in our country are briefly trying to discipline Turkey in the context of Zionism's meeting in Geneva. These attacks are aimed at pushing Turkey back to regional  developments in Syria." he added.
