Zionist Israeli police detained 4 Palestinians around the Damascus Gate, the symbolic entrance of occupied Jerusalem in the Old City.
According to the statement made by the Israeli police, 4 Palestinians were detained on charges such as "throwing foreign substances at the police, disturbing public order, provoking" during the events in the Damascus Gate area.
In its statement, the police gave the message that the number of detainees may increase as a result of the examination of the video recordings.

After the attacks that took place in different cities of Israel between March 22nd and 29th, in which 11 Israelis were killed, tensions also came to a head in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
While the Tel Aviv administration launched an operation called "Wave Breaker" after the increasing attacks in Israel and in the occupied Palestinian territories, tens of Palestinians were detained and 6 Palestinians, including a child, were martyred by terrorist Israeli forces during the raids.
BENNETT: “WE EXPECT FURTHER ATTACKS”
Naftali Bennett, the gang leader of Zionsite Israel, noted that they expect many more attempts to attack in the country and they are working to prevent them.
"We see that the security forces are stepping up their joint efforts to stop the recent attacks and restore the safety of Israeli citizens," Bennett said.
Noting that the Israeli occupation forces prevented some attack attempts in their operations in the occupied West Bank, Bennett said following words:
"But we certainly expect many more (attack) attempts to come and we are currently working to block them. The goal is terrorists wherever they are; preferably at the planning stage, then during the implementation stages or in the actual field. We are taking care to deploy more forces across the country to stop the wave of attacks in its infancy. Resistance and violence cannot get us out of here."
