The fact that it was two points higher than the previous proposal shows that the expectations of public officials and our proposals were not understood. In this respect, first of all, I would like to express my astonishment. While the Central Bank's inflation target for 2024 is "like the door", standing at 33 percent, the fact that the offers are circulating at 23 percent and 25 percent, and that the second proposal is being announced without any sentence about the second year is really incomprehensible."
Yalçın stated that they demanded welfare share for both years but there was no welfare share in the government's offer.
"There is no more welfare share on the table. The provision regarding our request for 1,650 lira has not been spoken yet, there is no sentence about rents yet, there is no sentence on the table regarding the counting of 8 thousand 77 liras into the pension deductions and the improvement of the situation of retirees in this sense," Yalçın said.

The process continues in the 7th Term Public Collective Agreement negotiations, where the salary and pensions of civil servants and civil servants will be determined in 2024 and 2025.

Minister Vedat Işıkhan stated that they would like to share their second offer with the public as the Public Employers Committee.
"As the Public Employers Committee, I am announcing our proposal as 15 percent in the first six months of 2024, 10 percent in the second six months, 6 percent in the first six months of 2025 and 5 percent in the second six months. Thus, when we consider the inflation forecasts in January 2024, an increase of 43 percent is foreseen for our public personnel. With the increase in the second half of 2024, the cumulative increase reaches 57 percent," Minister Işıkhan said.
